Christmas Day Out At Soccer Circus, Xscape
This year's Christmas treat was to take the boys to Kevin Keegan's Soccer Circus at Xscape in Braehead, on Thursday 28th December 2006. The boys had a great time in the training academy where Simon Purves got the highest combined score over the three disciplines. His prize was a signed mini football by England & Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan. This did cause some confusion however as Christopher Park thought Kevin was a singer from the charts, and not a famous player with previous clubs such as Southampton, Liverpool, Hamburg and Newcastle United who managed English giants such as Newcastle United and Manchester City as well as England. Ah well, I am sure he won't get slagged for it !!!! NOT!!!
It was a great day and one which I am sure all the boys enjoyed. As usual they were well mannered and well behaved and a credit to the club and their families.

Antonine Boys Club 2 EKYC 1
Our much postponed 4th round Scottish Cup tie with Antonine Boys Club was played today on the astro turf at East End, Dumbarton. With the Old Firm clash taking place at 1230 the kick off was put back to 3pm.
Antonine cought our boys cold and a great through ball which split the centre of defence was finished off by the Centre forward after only a minute.
Our boys rallied and were unlucky with Sam Hill coming close on a few occassions.
Antonine were penned in their own half for most of the 1st half, but we could not make our possession pay.
The second half started in same way, which YC attacking in waves, and Antonine looking dangerous on the counter attack.
It was from one of these attacks that they added to their lead, when a YC corner was cleared up the park and the pacy centre forward rounded James Kinniburgh, to put the ball into the empty net.
We replied almost immediately and Dean ARROL followed in as the Antonine keeper spilled a low drive, firing high into the net from close range.
For the final five minutes we had them penned in their own box, but could not find the elusive equaliser.
We wish Antonine all the best in the last 16 against Edina Hibs.
Our boys should be proud of their performances, and with a little luck, and on another surface, the result may have been differant.
Starting Line Up: Kinniburgh, McCulloch, Park, Kerr, Graham, Gibson, Purves, Arrol, Hill, March & Smith.Subs: Hamilton, Kelly, Crichton & Elliot
Goal Scorer: Dean ARROL
Man of the Match: DEAN ARROL

Antonine Boys Club v EKYC, Scottish Cup 4th Round, Sunday 17th December, 3pm kick off
The Scottish Cup tie with Antonine Boys Club on Sunday was again called off, due to a waterlogged pitch. The game has been re scheduled for this Sunday 17th December, with a 3pm kick off. The game will be played at East End in Dumbarton. This is an astro turf pitch so the game should be played this time. I know the kick off time is not ideal, with the Old Firm game being played that day, but we have no option as the fixture is arranged by the home side. The pitch is next to Dumbarton East railway station.

Third Time Lucky - Antonine Boys Club v EKYC
The 4th round tie of the Scottish Cup, against Antonine Boys Club, which has been postponed twice is scheduled to take place this Sunday 10th December with a 1pm kick off. The game will take place at Duntocher Hibs park in Duntocher. We will be meeting at Hairmyres Train Station at 11.30 to travel through. We would like as many people as possible to make the journey and support the boys in what, weather permitting will be a very hard tie.

EKYC94 EBay Site Update
The EBay site continues to be a great source of fundraising, and with 18 auctions finishing today, the funds collected on EBay so far have reached £600. There are only a few of the players and families who have very kindly donated items for auction, but as you can see it is very worth while, especially in the run up to Christmas, when people are looking for gift ideas. Anyone who can assist with auction items should see Andy at training on Wednesday. We are especially looking for PS2, Xbox and Gameboy games which are no longer used, as these are sought after on EBay, although any unwanted items will be most welcome.
Scottish Cup Tie Postponed
Todays Scottish Cup tie with Antonine Boys Club was postponed due to a water logged pitch. The match will be re scheduled for next weekend.
