Tulliallan Training Day Sunday 13 August

This Sundays training day at the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan proved a great success. The boys met at Hairmyres at 0900 and travelled through to Kincardine. We arrived at 10 and had a 2 hour training session before breaking for lunch and a game of putting. The boys then played a bounce game against Crieff Juniors under 14 in which they handled themselves well. The strength of the bigger and older team told in the end, but it was worth the game to see the effort that all put in. The most noteable performance of the day was JAMES KINNIBURGH who was outstanding in goals throughout. We left the college around half three before stopping at McDonalds, Alloa for some well deserved rewards and the home for 5.30.

We will be training in the morning, stopping for lunch and then playing a friendly game against local opposition in the afternoon. The day will also include a PUTTING competition on the college putting green, so if your wish to be included remember to bring a putter and golf ball. Pride and Prizes are at stake.

On the return home we will stop for a bite to eat, arriving back at Hairmyres at 6pm.

IT SHOULD BE A GREAT DAY AND IS A GOOD WAY OF THE NEW BOYS GETTING TO KNOW THE REST OF THE BOYS. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BE THERE.

Update on pre season training

Since the start of pre season training last week the boys have been put through their paces. There was 10 at both sessions last week and 12 tonight. Hopefully, more boys will be returning from holiday next week and the numbers will continue to rise.
We have welcomed Simon Purvis to the squad. He is a tricky midfielder, don't be fooled by high size, his feet are lightening quick, and a valuable asset to the team. We hope to have Craig Hamilton joining us next week. He currently plays for Hamilton BC, and is a big, fast, left sided forward, something we need since the loss of Scott Mitchell. I am sure the boys will make both these players very welcome. The boys have worked extremely hard in training, particularly in the recent heat, and we should start the season as fit if not fitter than last year.
You should have a letter by now about up and coming dates.
These are :
Training continues every Tuesday at 6pm at Dunedin Plying Fields.
Thursday 10 August. Friendly v Rossvale BC, Lochinch playing Fields.6.45pm ko
Sunday 13 August. Trip to Scottish Police College, Tulliallan. Report 9am at Hairmyres
Sunday 20 august. Friendly v Baljaffray BC, Bearsden. 10am ko.
